Patsy's American is a full-service restaurant nestled in the Vienna corridor along Leesburg Pike, offering an upscale casual dining atmosphere that fits well for both laid-back lunches and more relaxed dinner outings. The setting itself carries a unique charm, with décor that some have found reminiscent of a historic train station—warm, inviting, and thoughtfully arranged to create pockets of both lively and quiet spaces. This makes it a comfortable spot whether you're out for a date, a family meal, or a casual business lunch.

The kitchen leans into classic American fare, balancing fresh seafood with hearty land-based proteins and colorful vegetable-forward dishes. Standout items often include seafood starters like Blue Crab & Shrimp Fritters served with a lobster ginger sauce, and Crispy Fried Point Judith Calamari. For mains, options like Penne Primavera with shrimp and chicken or the Hickory BBQ Burger highlight the approachable yet refined menu. There’s also a range of fresh oysters and beer on tap, catering nicely to those seeking a lighter share plate or a casual sip alongside a meal.

Service tends to be attentive without feeling rushed, supporting an easy-going dining pace. Groups might appreciate that the restaurant offers private seating options off the main dining room, providing a calm setting for gatherings beyond the usual 8-person table limit.

Local guests often mention the consistency of dishes and a pleasant blend of welcoming ambiance with polished service, making Patsy’s American suitable for repeat visits. The adjacent establishments—like a bakery and a higher-end steak and seafood spot—complement the area’s dining scene, drawing a steady crowd of neighborhood regulars and visitors who enjoy exploring the variety nearby.

Parking is plentiful, which helps smooth the experience especially during busier lunch and dinner hours. Weekends can be lively but not overwhelmingly crowded, striking a nice balance for meals that linger over conversation and well-prepared food. If you appreciate a spot with a bit of character, solid American cuisine, and a setting that suits both casual and slightly more special occasions, Patsy's American offers a dependable place to settle in within Vienna’s evolving restaurant scene.

Patsy’s is fantastic - another hit from the Great American restaurants. Vibe is upscale casual and food is American. Next door are Best Buns, their bakery and coffee shop, and on the other side Randy’s, a higher end steak and seafood house. All three are excellent. Patsy’s menu has lots of great options. Food is always spot on and consistent, and service is top notch. Some of our favorite items include the spinach dip, the steak frites, and the crab cakes. Ozzie rolls are a must to start and the French fries are phenomenal. We love this place for date night, meal with kids, or business lunch. Rare to find such a good and consistent restaurant and cozy vibe. Excellent - highly recommend!

Was in the area for work and went by for lunch. Excellent choice, great atmosphere. Service was excellent, the food was delicious and on point. We did return for dinner once more and it was as excellent as our first trip. We are from The southeast and wish there was a place like this near us. Will definitely return.

Really nice restaurant for lunch or dinner! My husband and I went out for a lunch date and we really enjoyed the food here. Our main dish was really delicious, but the bread pudding was the real winner!! It was perfect!! They have a lot of beers on tap and I’m definitely a beer girl— so I tried 2 different beers. The building is so beautiful and well decorated. It reminded me of a train station in Europe. The staff were really nice and got our order in promptly. It was a lovely place to eat and we enjoyed ourselves. Can’t wait to come back again!

I had a wonderful time at Patsy's American, the staff was great. The food was great especially the lobster roll. I've had the salmon, different salads and other entrees and everything has been good. Plenty of space and parking! We've never had more than a 10 minute wait.

Came here for lunch Sunday—since we had a party of 10, the restaurant seated us in a private room in the back, since there is a maximum of 8 ppl for the tables in the main dining area. The private room seemed too secluded at first, but over time it was great to have the privacy and in a more quiet area. Service was great—our server Ricardo was awesome—friendly and attentive! Food was delicious. For starters, the Blue Crab & Shrimp Fritters and Firecracker Shrimp (special) were good. The salads were great as well, we got the Charleston Salad with Spiced Pecans and the Lobster Cobb Salad ($37). For entrees, would recommend the French Dip Sandwich, Broiled Crab Cakes ($40), and Penne Primavera. Cocktails were on point as well. Always enjoy the food here!

Loved the overall feel and look of the restaurant. Clean bathrooms, speedy service. Our waiter Adam was a delight, very tentative and knowledgeable about the menu. We loved the bread and our lemon drop martinis was delicious. I had the crab fritters and we also had a Caesar salad . I would rate 7.0, the smoked grilled salmon was 7.5, their mash potatoes are 9.0, the Brussels sprouts are good but i feel like they needed some type of drizzle. We also had the south west egg rolls very good 8.5. Overall it’s a good place to eat and the service is great.

We ordered the fried calamari appetizer and the crab cake with filet mignon combo. All of the food were delicious and well cooked. The kitchen forgot our two side dishes, and the waiter also didn’t notice it until we finished. The bill was $80+, which was a bit pricy for a causal dinner from the bar area, but the food quality was good.

Great food in a well run establishment. The decor is modern, the furnishings are attractive and everything is spotlessly clean. Service is very good. The wait times may get long during peaks as Patsy's is a popular dining spot. This is an upgrade from the chain restaurant that once occupied this space. We loved the salmon salad, the barbecue Sandwich, the cheeseburger, and the steak salad that our party ordered. Service was polite and efficient. Every aspect of our meal was the way it should be. We will return to Patsy's again with high expectations.
